   I got this comb when my cat got fleas. While my cat didn’t like it (he’s a cat, what cat likes being brushed/combed?), it did a good job getting the fleas out of his fur. He has A LOT of fur.

   I recently adopted a Goldendoodle puppy and soon realized maintaining its hair (not fur) requires lots of attention. This metal comb has proven itself after a few weeks of heavy use. The comb teeth are very strong and help untangle any knots in the coat, and have yet to show any signs of damage. Also, the handle is great, ergonomic, and helps me maintain a good grip while combing out the hair. Overall its a great length for getting the body, tight areas like under the arms, and even around the eyes and mouth. I would recommend this to any doodle owner that requires lots of maintenance.

   I didn’t realize until after I had already taken this out of the packaging that it says on the back that it’s for dogs only. I don’t have a dog so I can’t speak to it’s effectiveness with that, but the teeth didn’t seem as concentrated or close together as I hadn’t hoped anyway, so I’m not sure this brush would have been an improvement over what I already had. Probably best to buy these things in person rather than online so you can get a good look at what you’re getting!

   This comb was definitely well made and comfortable to use and hold. It didn’t provide a great benefit for our shorter coat dog. That’s on me for choosing this tool, which probably wasn’t really made for a dog like mine. Looks nice and well made, but I can’t really give a super accurate review for its actual use!

    My dog has never been combed. He’s a goof of a dog, so I didn’t know how this was going to work out. Much to my surprise, he loves it. From the very first time. I showed it to him, let him sniff it and lick it so he kind of knew what it was. I started to comb him totally expecting him to bolt or run in circles or something. He just sat there like, “wow, this feels good!” It’s a very sturdy comb with long metal teeth. It does a great job.
