It’s a bean to cup machine, which means a built in grinder. You can can also use ground coffee and bypass the grinder. It doesn’t include a milk frothing pitcher, but those are easily found or like myself, just use a glass measuring cup. I’m really enjoying learning how to make cappuccinos and lattes along with other coffee drinks. Who needs a barista when you have this beauty sitting on your counter? Maintenance is easy as well, it gives you reminders (via lights) to empty grounds, refill water, etc. All in all, a great espresso machine. I’ve tried both. They both made great espressos, and cappuccinos. There is a control to change the grind. All kinds of lights that flash, and a few buttons. I do refer to my instructions occasionally when I’m not sure why something is flashing or a new light comes on. The instructions are very clear and detailed. The milk frother works great and is easy to use. You definitely should make the espresso first then froth the milk, it’s faster that way. I use this everyday instead of my one cup coffee maker. I’d rather have this. It is so delicious. Every time I walk my the machine I smell coffee, which smells heavenly. It is very easy to clean.
