Brought this drill to mix many bags of mud for a whole house tiling project. If you plan on laying floor tile and need to mix many bags of thinset you will NEED one of these. Forget wasting money on cheaper or less powerful drills. You will burn them up one by one! I smoked two corded drills and almost burnt out my 18 volt ridged cordless before breaking down and buying this one. It might be pricy, but it will get the job done. Variable speed will keep mud from flying everywhere when starting with more water in the pail then mud. All in all I have mixed at least 30 fifty pound bags of thinset and its still going strong. I bought this drill for going through 4×4’s and 6×6’s. I put spade bits and auger bits on this and it plowed through it all. The only drawback is that it doesn’t quite fit between studs on 16″ centers even with a compact Hole-Saw attachment (and the rear handle was removed of-course). If going through studs is what you have planned, then get a Right-Angle Drill. But for all other items, this is a great drill with a good balance between torque and speed.
