This worked really well. I used it with my angle grinder to dig deep into an old railing i was redoing. I would never recommend doing this but I needed to take about 1/4″ off and the regular sander wasn’t going to do the trick. I barely touched it to the wood and it removed the top layer with ease. Just to see what it was capable of, I used it on an old metal chain I had and it cut right through that as well. This is really good for the price.

No better sanding or grinding disc for metal or wood. Numerous uses including sharpening lawn mower blades, cleaning garden tools, excellent on all hard and softwoods. The Diablo discs last, last and continue to last for an extremely long time. We’ve used numerous sanding pads and discs and there simply are none better. The backing is extremely strong adhering to any 5” disc plate. The 5” is the best, more so than any 7” disc, contingent upon the work being performed. The 5” disc is the benchmark of the wheel, no question. The smaller disc (5”) is great for technical work in being very versatile while having complete control of any Dual Action Sander (DA). The 24 or 36 grit are the best for honing or stripping wood. In fact, one 36 disc lasted over two use with heavy duty use and is “still” of value ( Not thrown away yet). We use the Makita DA which is the best performer, having a great motor. It would be hard to believe that any could knock this sanding or grinding disc. We would highly recommend Diablo to everyone. Five plus stars.
