I was a bit torn about buying this based on some of the negative reviews here and elsewhere, but I’m glad I picked it up.The plunge function is definitely this accessories weakest aspect, but a bit of 3-in-1 oil on the guides and taking shallow passes has made it completely functional. The depth adjustment stays locked without too much tightening and the base is true with no flex. The edge guide works as it should. The depth gauge is a joke though, so measure with a real ruler.I have been using this for a few weeks on hard woods (African Blackwood, Oak, Birdseye Maple and others) along with some Dremel cutting bits and I couldn’t be happier.I usually don’t write reviews, but I just used a tiny router sled and this attachment to true up the face of some Maple. This is something I struggled with using my full sized router because the pieces are so small; this attachment actually made it enjoyable – the whole point of my hobby.

It is useful for what it is intended for. It was more difficult to adjust and maintain the adjustment then i had expected it to be. Otherwise, turns your dremel into a mini router as expected.

Works OK. Instructions are not easy ro follow. Can be made to do the job by intuition.

It works ok, but in the end it could not handle the difficult tasks of finesse on even a mildly hard wood. Yet, it seems to cover some jobs alright. As usual, get the right tool for the job. I should have used a proper router meant for tougher jobs.

I bought this thinking I could avoid buying a real router. I think I was wrong. I expected too much, I think. This is really a good Dremel attachment, but it is still plastic. It is fine for light duty, soft material.

I use it at work and at home, it seems to be what it was designed for and well a little more. I look forward to seeing more attachments in the future. Best tool on earth. Thanks Dremel

The bits fit most Dremmel machines and can be used freehand, but I would advise on buying the routing table extension base so you can secure the machine and get the depth you want. The bits should be used at 15K to 20K r.p.m. and only on soft materials. If using the base, you may want to have tweezers handy as the thin bit will sink into the chuck when replacing, so a pinch clamp, or self holding tweezer helps keep you from having to take it all apart.

They were as described . worked well .I have used them quite a bit since purchase ,no problems . Only thing that could be a little better is a case . They came in a clear plastic package if you cut it open just right you can reuse it as a case .
