   Wow, What a Tool! Milwaukee does make some of the BEST Tradesman Tools out there. This is One! Upon getting this I went to work demoing the small 2×3 concrete pad that was poured in a spot that just didn’t make any sense. With the paddle chisel this unit cut and crushed this concrete up like butter. This unit is Heavy Duty & the whole hand grip trigger is Awesome! Bits lock into chuck very easily & there are many to choose from depending on your project. This is not a Wimpy Wimpy Rotary Hammer, this thing is a BEAST! This is for the Tradesman or a DIYer who wants a Quality Tool!

   Overall its a good tool. Two slight irritations, they shortened the cord length (compared to the 4 1/2″ variable speed grinder, which they discontinued making), and the on/off switch is very close to handle, and with wearing gloves, it can be a little tricky turning on and off. (4 1/2″ grinder had paddle switch which was very easy to use). Did I tell you they discontinued making that model?!!!!

   It seam’s to be a good tool,but time will tell.It is pretty noisy and rough sounding.I replaced a DeWalt Grinder the same size and it was Excellent Quality for many years.I choose the Milwaukee brand because of the variable speed option which is Great it is very powerful just rough and noisy sounding.But like I said time will tell.I actually want another 5 inch Grinder so I don’t have to keep switching back and forth with a sanding disk or a grinding rock.But I think I will buy another DeWalt and see how the new ones are.I hope this review helps I really think it will be alright,after all it is a Milwaukee.PS the only reason I gave it 4 star’s is became of the sound Everything else is Quality.

    I can not praise the15 Amp 1-3/4 in. SDS-MAX Corded Combination Hammer with E-Clutch enough. I have had it for 1 week and put it to work right away. I drilled 11/4 inch holes for large bolts in my cement house foundation. I am also am using it for breaking rock on my mountain side to smooth out my walk way to the side of my home. I love the ease of chaining bits for the tool. It is a little heavy but it does not much pressure to drill or hammer drill. I would recommend this tool to anyone.

    I use this for chopping through concrete like butter. It’s an incredible hammer drill. It’s very reasonably weighted. It has a convenient adjustable side handle that allows for you to easily position and hold the tool safely to just about any location needed. The finger trigger is also very nicely formed into the handle at the rear. Once you lock the desired chisel or drill bit in place they never fall out during use. (Unlike other brands I have used) just be aware there are no bits included. The case for storage is very rugged and should last for years. I highly recommend this tool.

    This SDS-MAX hammer drill is huge, and is great for drilling large vertical holes in concrete, or doing demolition work. If you need to break up concrete, or need to drill dozens of 1/2″ to 1 3/4″ vertical holes in slabs, this 22 pound 15 amp drill is a great option. This drill is a big, heavy beast, and is great for big jobs.However, if you need to drill holes smaller than 1/2″, need to drill horizontal holes, need to work in tight spaces, or need any precision, then a smaller model is probably a better choice.Note that this model uses the massive SDS-MAX bits with 18mm shank, and it is NOT compatible with the smaller SDS or SDS-Plus bits. You can purchase an SDS-MAX to SDS adapter, but be aware that this heavy drill can easily snap the smaller SDS / SDS-Plus bits when used in the adapter. (I learned the hard way)And while the SDS-MAX bits are heavy duty and large, the larger or longer bits can be pretty expensive, so definitely think about the bits you need, as they will be an investment. But during a recent trip to Home Depot, I saw that there were a lot of different Milwaukee SDS-MAX bits available–more than standard SDS or SDS-Plus–so it seems that SDS-MAX has become very popular.This model appears to be an upgrade to Milwaukee’s largest rotary hammer drill, with an increase to 15A, an increase of maximum bit size to 1-3/4″, the addition of the E-Clutch feature, and the addition of the variable speed control.This is a fantastic hammer drill that can easily handle big jobs.
