Milwaukee M18 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless 1/2 in. Impact Wrench W/ Pin Detent (Tool Only)

Received the tool and put it to the test on some heavily rusted 5/8″ bolts without using any penetrating oil or break free, if it didn’t break them loose, it broke them. I currently own two brand name impacts (corded & cordless), they’re not bad, but this 1/2″ Milwaukee impact is by far more superior especially in power which makes me one very happy camper.

I work full time in a mechanical workshop dismantling 4x4s and comercial vehicles. This gun does everything I ask with relative ease. A number of co-workers have a competitors cordless gun, and now most of them want to replace them with this one. More power, more compact, better balance, and a hell of a lot cheaper! The pin detent takes a little getting use to, but much better than the options. The red lithium batteries last longer than any others as well.I am already recomending this impact wrench to others I know and everyone is impressed.I have used a few competitors guns and believe this to be the best on the market at the moment.

I work in a heavy repair shop and this is one of our most used tools! will break loose almost any lug nut or engine mounting bolts, almost anything you can think of under 3/4″. handles much nicer than a Dewalt of similar size and dosnt have stupid rocker trigger switch.

This thing works pretty good but the pin detent is tricky to use, I’ll probably end up finding an old drill bit or other pin like object to keep with it so I can press the detent pin down and remove the socket from the end.

Tool is handy and the variety of other tools offered by Milwaukee is a big plus.On this tool the detent pin is flimsy and usually gets jammed or breaks quickly. In hindsight i would recommend the friction ring unit instead.Needs to come with some spare detent pin kits.

So far so good a little heavy but good power. It would be nice if they gave a case. And replacement batteries at 119.00 a pop.

I bought this tool 2 months ago and it really helps me speed up the process on driving lag bolts (almost a foot long) to fasten 6×6 wood attached to the deck beam and post as support. I recently used this tool to loosen tire lug nuts (changing tire from summer to winter) to our vehicles as well as used by my neighbors on removing rusted tire lug nuts and it was flawless.

Most of the used auto parts places (junk yards) have gone to find it and remove it yourself, and trying to remove rusted bolts on cars sitting outside for years is not easy. I was at one such place when I saw this guy removing parts at an incredible pace, so I asked how he was doing it. and he showed me his impact. Now I own one too. I have yet to find the bolt this thing will not remove. It even removes susspension nuts. Plus, two fully charged batteries will last all day. Sometimes the socket can be difficult to remove but if you line up the hole with the pin you can use a small tool to push in the pin or a screwdriver to pry it off.

This is the baddest impact gun I’ve ever used. It’s extremely powerful, and heavy yet nicely balanced. I use it for working on my car, specifically taking wheels on and off a lot (I do some weekend racing). 450 foot pounds of power has never let me down taking off lugs as well as most other fasteners on the car. Use it and feel manly! I worked on my wife’s car a few weeks ago, and not only did the job get done, she told me she loved a dirty man using his tools.

We have many air tools and electric tools available here in our shop. Since I introduced this tool to the crew, it has become the standard go to tool. It will break most large lugnuts, really handy in a hand held battery tool. The battery life is outstanding for the work it gets done. We frequently use it to break loose old stuck differential plugs on large trucks. The 18V 1/2″ Milwaukee is my favorite power tool.

This could be the tool of the year, except for the pin detent. We use the impact to install thousands of 5/8″ anchor bolt nuts. It has plenty of torque. A little too heavy for anything above your head. It’s a must have tool, however the pin detent is now completely broken after only 6 months of use.

I just got this tool “bare tool” no battery I was planning to use it with my M18 compact batteries but I have read that it needs the M18 high capacity XC battery well I tried it with the compact battery I had on hand it seems to work fine maybe it does not have the maximum power or will run the battery down faster but it removed a lug bolt from one of my large tractors with little effort all the lights were still on on the battery afterwards and as for the pin detent I can seewhere this might slow you down a little but so does lookingfor sockets that have been slung off my impact wrenchesand lost in combines or in the dirt you can always usea short extension on the wrench that you can change sockets on fast.

I have had Milwaukee since 1971 and everyone is great. This is the second impact but the first was NiCad. This one is stronger, harder hitting and lasts a lot longer in the field. Makes lug nuts a snap to take off. Great out in the barn for working on the equipment and in the field. Hands down, the best I’ve ever had. Lithium endurance was the sell and the impact improvement is great. Get it and don’t even worry about looking back. Built for hard workers. Thank you Milwaukee workers for a great product.

Been a car fanatic for a while and had some of the m18 line for around the house stuff. Got this when I was hired at a local dealership. One month of constant use in this thing is simply incredible. If you use torque bars to reattach lugs you will go through the battery a little quicker, maybe 4-5 rotations per charge. I hand torque so I charge the battery maybe once every 3 days or so. And that’s with constant use. Have used colleagues air wrenches and there’s no difference I can feel. This thing is a beast.

better than the matco I had. Seems to be as good as Snapon best an more expensive impact. Based on info I could find the 450 lbs torque, as good or better than all except matco best. I bought a combo pack that had 2 batt, charger, sawsall, drill, small impact, an light. The tools are great, I hope the batteries are as good as they claim.

Purchased this wrench to use for car projects and changing tires at track events. At least 3 other colleagues used this wrench during a weekend event. It performed perfectly each time, every time. The charge held by the battery is amazing.After going through 3 cheapie cordless impact wrenches, I finally spent the money on a good one. It was worth the expense.

I was think about buying snap on or Cornwell cordless wrench found that Home depot had the tool only for the third of the price which both were selling for over 500.00. Had purchase hammer drill with hc capacity battery so I purchase it and receive it really quick, when I took it to work I had a crowd stand around ready to see how it perform it’s rated at 450 flbs so I started to remove a wheel lug nut on a transit bus that just been torque to 500 foot lbs and everyone mouth drop to the floor they couldn’t believe it so I tried another nut and got the same result if you are a serious professional you need to invest in this tool
