The Milwaukee Lithium-Ion Cordless Band Saw is ideal for cutting metal in place, overhead and in tight areas. It cleanly and easily cuts the most common plumbing and mechanical materials, such as 2-1/2 in. conduit, 3 in. copper and threaded rods and more. It has a blade-ejection system and tool-free adjustable material guide that allows flush cuts to be made in ceilings and walls.

I debated for a long time about which battery bandsaw to purchase. I had used the DeWalt corded at work and knew of it’s durability and also it’s weight. I was considering all of the 5″ throat model Battery powered saws, but after a month or so of debating, and watching sales come and go, Home Depot had a great offer on this kit, so I couldn’t pass it up. After using the saw I’m glad I went with Milwaukee, and glad I went with this size (mid-size) bandsaw. I’m comfortable using it with one hand, or at least lining it up easily. The power is instant and more than sufficient for a saw this size. You won’t miss the cord at all, I do know that. Being able to walk around freely and make the necessary cuts is a huge benefit to owning this saw. This was my first M18 powered tool purchase, but with the attention to detail that Milwaukee puts into their tools, I know it will not be my last M18 purchase. I own a few of the M12 line, and have been well pleased in both the durability and power/size ratio that their tools provide. If you can catch this kit onsale, don’t pass it up, if you need a bandsaw NOW…don’t overlook this kit, it could be the perfect saw because of what it doesn’t have that most all of it’s competitors do….it doesn’t have the added weight and cost of the larger saws, so this is one of those rare instances where less is more.
