One of the best blades I’ve used for demolition work.
I love these blades for pruning. I know there is a pruning blade but it is really expensive and prone to bending. These demolition blades do the trick. They are sturdy and only a little slower than the pruning blade.Great for anything that needs to be cut up in a hurry without much precision.I received this 9 IN. 7/11 TPI WRECKER DEMOLITION MUTLI-MATERIAL CUTTING SAWZALL RECIPROCATING SAW BLADES (10-PACK) for free to write this review.
Great blades and long lasting
Worked great. Bought other types before and they break too easy
I went through 3 of the 10 blades in 10 minutes. The teeth just laid down while sawing a locus tree branches. Disappointing.
Another quality product!
This review is for the Milwaukee model 48-00-1706 “Wrecker” Sawzall blade. The 1706 comes in a pack of 10 (the pack I received had a bonus 2 blades included). It’s good to check the model number to make sure you’re reading the right review – Milwaukee has fair number of blades available. The blades come in a blister pack, there’s no storage container included; once you open the container you’ll need to find a spot for the loose blades. If you store them with other blades, Milwaukee has handily labeled each blade in easy-to-read lettering that it’s a “Wrecker” so you’re not going to have to stop and search for the right blade. Of course the lettering will eventually wear off – but I think enough will remain visible even after a lot of blade use to identify the blade by a glance. The “Wrecker” blade is designed for “multi-material” – wood, light metal, PVC, etc. I had an old bird bath waiting to be destroyed, made out of some type of PVC type plastic and filled with sand. I mounted the “Wrecker” on a Ryobi reciprocating saw (doesn’t have to be a Milwaukee saw) and it took about 3 minutes to reduce the bird bath to pieces and remove the packed in sand (see photo below). You’ll want to wear protective gear when using a reciprocating saw, of course. The 1706 is made in the USA and is 9” in length. It worked very well in this test – I don’t have any large projects on hand at the moment to “destruct”, but I’m satisfied that this new Milwaukee blade can get the job done. I’m a semi-retired I.T. tech / homeowner / DIY’er and professional trades will have their own opinions on longevity and cutting capability. As a DIY’er I’m pleased to add these to my saw kit. HTHRegards,Jim
These are blades of excellent quality and endurance. They cut clean and straight. The beveled point can get into all tight spots. They also come in shorter and longer lengths and are great to cut through almost any wood with ease. The bulk of the blade is very solid and keeps a straight line easily if cut on a slight angle. They are GREAT DEMO blades. Seem to last a long time.
I like the 10 pack instead of just the smaller quantities. Mark
We used these blades to demo a 3 car gathering built in the 1950s. Only used 9 blades – worked great getting through the good old wood
When you have a demolition project Milwaukee demo blades are a quality product, these particular blades are designed to cut through wood and metals . I had a decorative column my wife wanted removed so I used these wrecker blades and they cut through Sheetrock wood and nails with ease, I highly recommend this product, they made this demolition project go with eas.
Milwaukee sawzall blades for the best to use
Great blades and they stay sharp.
Our go to blades for construction demo.
if you are a DIYer. get these and dont look back. the demo blades cut through every material quickly and are fantastic at demolition work. carry these in excess and only buy the specialized blades when it absolutely calls for it. great for nails in wood, plain wood and metal only downside is the price, but I will still buy these before another set of blades.
A very good blade for a wide variety of uses. At 9 inches it is longer than many traditional reciprocating saw blades and that means I can use this for thicknesses up to about 6 inches. Shorter blades will do about 4 inches and longer ones are prone to bending. This is also the widest blade of the three different ones I own which reduces flex. I also like the fact that it will cut most everything including wood, metal, and plastic. Why bother with a blade that won’t do it all, especially if you are in destruction mode. Also, I think that the tooth size and pattern promote somewhat smoother cuts.
