    This insert adapter serves its purpose, but it does not have a locking set screw like some other adapters do. The set screw is important for use on reversing lathes to keep the chuck from possibly unscrewing. The adapter works, but keep an eye on it when using reverse. You can get a set screw adapter for about the same price. I didn’t notice the lack of a set screw when I ordered it.
