   We bought 4 of these to put in various areas of our house to discourage scratching carpet and furniture. Our kitty loves them and even balances herself on top of one of them! They seem to be taller than other posts that I’ve seen, and the base is wide enough to give it good stability. This is a good quality scratching post, especially for the price!

   My cat really likes this! The post covering is made of sisal, which my research told me is the best material for a cat post–and which oddly enough they didn’t mention in the product description online, but did say in the packaging when it arrived. I came quickly–a week or so–with the post and base separate, but with a large screw and a tiny screw-turning device (an L shaped piece of metal) which made putting it together pretty easy. The base is broad so it doesn’t have a tendency to turn over–and my cat really likes it!

   Very nice scratching post, with no staples between the sisal rope (except at the very top and bottom of the post). Nice plush base and top, too (it’s not like carpet, more like a soft, fuzzy blanket). Very easy assembly, as it requires only screwing the post to the base (one long screw and an allen wrench are included). Good value for the money…!
