   The old D-handle base for my porter cable router broke when it fell on the floor, so I purchased this to replace it. This worked fine, but note that the plastic base plate on the bottom is different from the older units in that it is now secured with three oval head screws instead of flat head screws. This means that my spare plates from my original unit won’t work on this one.
