   This 27.5 size ball is great for 5-7 year olds. It is not as heavy as a full size basketball. It also does not bounce high with normal dribbling pressure so your child can learn how to dribble properly. A full size ball with good bounce will be too high for most kids. My son is dribbling and running with good speed already.

    These are great basketballs for youth. We bought 50 of them through out the pass 8 years for our basketball academy. About a year ago they changed the material and it was terrible, we had to return 10 basketballs. In December I checked again to see if they have realized that they made a mistake by changing the material and they did. They went back to the original and we are buying 10 more now.

    The size and the weight of this ball is perfect for my 8 year old. It’s a perfect starter ball as she’s getting comfortable handling it, practicing passing, catching, and shooting. It’s okay for dribbling though it doesn’t have as nice of a bounce as I would like. The quality of the material is excellent. So far we’ve mainly used it indoor, though we’ve used it outdoors a few times and I’m hoping it will hold up fine outside.
