there is no on and off switch, it has to be unplugged to shut off. The recommendation for hot tea water is 185 degree’s, however it is not hot enough have been microwaving the water after. There is button for 200 degree’s, but it does not stay there once unplugged. It works, but it is not great.

I like stainless steel inner pot. It is very difficult to find one and I am glad that they made one. Function well and in order.I just bought it and I can’t say now how long will it lasts. Only time can tell.But the water level display is not easily visible.The water flow is not smooth and splash that it hurts the skin on the hand. We have to hold the cup very close to the mouth of the dispenser. Thanks HOME depot for carrying the types that manufacture stainless steel inner pot water dispenser!
