The main reason For my purchase it because it was on sale for ~$130.00 off. I prefered the ‘red’ one over this ‘yellow’ one! After used it for 3 or 4 times, i know the (1)battery drain much faster than i expected. (2) the impact drill feel warm after 30 mins of removing a lot of 3″ screws from 2×4. I don’t recall that happen to my Makita (12 volt) and 18 volt Milwaukee. (3) the charger feel cheap and it doent change color when battery is fully charge, hard to tell whether the battery is Done ornit. My 8 years old Milwaukee charger turn green when battery is done. (4) the circular blade gard is plastic, not metal. That mean you need to be ‘gentle’ when lay down the saw. What the heck! there may be more, but i haven’t use it much yet.So why did I brought it? (1)The price was right for combo set (2) Dewalt have the most powerful socket impact, and many other tool which share the same battery pack; which make it easy to expanse my set w/o worry additional cost down the line.

I was fortunate to buy this kit at a reduced price. I’m very happy with the tools and their performance; however, the kit comes with 2 batteries and the charge doesn’t last very long. I can run out the power of one and put it on the charger and use the 2nd fully charged one and before the first one is charged up the 2nd one is empty. I bought a cheap drill a long time ago and I think it held a better charge.If you plan on using these tools for any length of time; reconsider and buy electric. The only other alternative is to pay high $$$ for extra batteries.
