Basically, it was to drill holes – starter holes for jig saw cutting center of plank holes, in one instance – where accuracy was very important. Once you move the DrillMate to desired spot you can depress the drill to touch the spot with the bit to ensure you are exactly on target. While drilling a ‘through’ hole, holding the handle keeps the DM steady and true. I’m very happy with my Milescraft DrillMate!!!
