Milwaukee 7 in. x 54 Carbide Teeth Aluminum Cutting Circular Saw Blade

My husband freaked when he saw that I got him this blade for his saw. He’s been wanting it for a long time. The carbide tips on the blade make it perfect for cutting steel… So I am told! He said it cut cleanly with no metal burrs left behind soeso ha happy guy! Also he said this one is special since there’s no lubrication needed and the cuts stay cool.

Great blade for thin metal, aluminum, copper, brass, and plastics. Okay for medium metal (1/8″ – 1/4″). My use will be primarily for plastics and it cut smoothly with no apparent heating, leading to a smooth edge. Fits my non-Milwaukee saw just fine and has absolutely no wobble or vibration, I guess the laser cut vibration slots assure that. The rear of the package has great information as to appropriate uses and features of the blade. Don’t let the light weight throw you off, the teeth are cobalt infused tungsten carbide which produces a superior cut and longer life.

I had to install a Plexiglas shield at a service counter which required cutting aluminum trim and Plexiglas panels. I purchased a Milwaukee cordless metal cutting saw to go with this blade and it did the job. The blade works well with the Plexiglas with just a little gumming up from the heat and friction. It handled the aluminum trim pretty easily and was a lot easier cutting than with a hacksaw. This is a good quality blade.

This carbide blade can cut medium thick material 1/16 to ¼ inch thick. It can be used with the Milwaukee cordless handheld circular saw. It has cobalt infused tungsten carbide teeth and laser cut vibration slots.

I have cut some stuff that is way beyond what it supposed to be used for.

I ordered this blade to cut a number of different materials including plastic pipe. In the past I’ve done it with just a regular carbide blade with good results. In this case, I needed to get a better cut for my current project, not actually plumbing but building a drone, so I ordered this 10 inch metal cutting blade to use on my compound miter saw. It really allows for a precise cut even on larger diameter pipe.One word of caution, using this blade on any material generates a large amount of very fine dust. I was shocked @ how much floats around during the cutting process; wear good safety glasses.

This Milwaukee 5 7/8” diameter 50 tooth aluminum cutting blade powers through aluminum sheet and angle like cutting through wood. The resulting kerf is precise, clean and smooth. I do not own a hand held circular saw with a 20mm arbor so I made an adapter to use this blade. I used this in a corded 7” hand held circular saw to try it out and had great results. In the past I have used either a jigsaw or reciprocating saw to make these cuts and then had to clean them up by filing or grinding. Very difficult to get a long smooth straight cut that way. This is a very nice and welcome addition to my workshop. It would have been nice if the packaging could be more easily reused for storage between uses. It is very difficult to initially remove the blade from the package and getting the blade in and out through the opening made in the back of the package is difficult when using it for storage.

The Milwaukee 7-1/4 in. x 56 Carbide Teeth Metal Cutting Circular Saw Blade makes short work of cutting aluminum flashing. I am using the used flashing for some lawn edging and needed to cut a few inches off a piece. This blade cut it off as it was nothing. As with a lot of tasks, the prep and cleanup was way more time consuming than the task at hand. When I selected this blade, I had hoped to use it on some steel roofing sheets. When it came, the first thing I saw was “ALUMINUM” in big letters. Only slightly disappointed. It will get plenty of use on other aluminum and possible cement board siding provided it is suitable for that.

Excellent blade for cutting brass/light metals. This blade ripped through brass pipe with ease and without sharp edges – barely had to sand it down. Zero vibration while cutting! No heat or hot shards flying out – keeps it “cool” when cutting. 54 teeth provide this blade with smooth cutting and very few shards flying. Not recommended for 18-20v power tools, but with corded saw – this blade is a dream to cut light metal. It’s made in China, but with professional grade and according to Milwaukee standards. High level of confidence that this product will last. This blade is intended for light metals AND plastic/fiberglass. A perfect tungsten/carbide blade for one’s tool box! RECOMMEND!!! A+

I have been using this blades for the last 10 years and they work excellent.

My impression of this saw blade is excellent. I received this and put it into my portable saw, which worked as the blade is 6 1/2,” and my saw is made for a 7 1/4″ saw blade. I wanted to see if the battery saw would cut through a steel door. The advertising on the package states this blade will cut brass, copper, plastics, fiberglass, and aluminum! What is doesn’t say is it will cut steel. Well, they missed that when they printed the label because I installed a new door for a customer and decided to try to cut her old steel door so it would fit in her trash can. It cut like butter, with a beautiful smooth cut line. Word of warning, though, wear goggles because it will spray metal shavings at you. I expected some shavings but not as much as was sprayed at my face and chest. Do not attempt this without face protection. This is my new go to metal cutting saw blade.

The blade is definitely sharp. The first cut was my finger nail as I tried to install the to my cordless circular hand saw. I was able to test it out by cutting a fiberglass to size. The cut was clean thanks to the 50 teeth. There was not too much vibration as I was cutting the fiber glass. I plan on cutting some copper using the blade and I am confident that I will also have a nice clean edge. The blade is strong and should last a myriad projects.

I own a lot of Milwaukee tools, and like the others, this one does not disappoint! I received this to cut through some aluminum for an outdoor project. I assumed it would work based on the Milwaukee name, but this was GREAT! It cuts through aluminum like butter! The blade did not “junk” up or anything with the cutting despite quite a bit of use on this project. The edges were very smooth following the cut. Save yourself the trouble and order this blade for your aluminum, cooper, and plastic projects. It is well worth it! Oh, as a bonus- the packaging of this blade is far better than others I have received!

So I ordered this new blade for my metal cutting saw since it says “metal cutting circular saw blade” I use a heavy duty metal cutting blade for cutting STEEL. Glad I looked closely at the blade. Afraid to try it on steel so I used it for cutting a 1″ round stock aluminum rod. It cut nicely but I am just going to save it for the occasional cutting of soft metals. Milwaukee should re-name it ‘SOFT METAL CUTTING BLADE” I cut 100 pieces of steel for every aluminum or brass piece I cut. Nice blade, just not what I thought it was.

This Milwaukee non-ferrous metal cutting circular saw blade cuts through items like butter! I actually used it to cut through 1-1/2″ PVC piping and it was so fast and easy to complete my project. The only thing I will say to be aware of is that it has a 20mm arbor which isn’t compatible with some of the circular saws out there. I have a Ryobi 18V circular saw and had to use an “adaptor” that was made by a friend and it worked fine but I would probably buy a blade that is actually made for my saw.This Milwaukee blade is high quality and cuts really well. I’ve used a lot of tool accessories by Milwaukee and have found them to last longer and perform better than other brands. This blade is made for aluminum, brass, copper, plastics and fiberglass. Just an FYI that the 5-7/8″ blade will not work on the Ryobi 5-1/2″ circular saw as it hits the safety shield. I had to install it on my 6-1/2″ circular saw so it would rotate properly without any safety worries. Remove the blade from it’s packaging by just cutting down about an inch from the top and sliding out the blade. You can then reuse the packaging to store the blade safely. I highly recommend this brand of blades.

The Milwaukee seven and a quarter inch (7 ¼”) by fifty-six (56) tooth carbide metal cutting circular saw blade is capable of cutting brass, aluminum, fiberglass, copper , vinyl, and any nonferrous metals up to a quarter inch (1/4”) (6.4 mm) thick. WEAR SAFETY GLASSES! as this does throw minute shavings. One note is that the cut material is not hot to the touch after cutting and no oil is required during cutting operation.

This saw blade is excellent for cutting metal or plastic. Fine enough teeth to make a super smooth cut. No buts to clean on plastic pipe or aluminum. Put it in my Milwaukee circular saw and made several cuts to see how it worked. None better than this. I tried it on sheet metal and it worked great. I am going to use it to cut 8 foot sections down to 4 foot. So much better than turning a wood blade around backwards to cut sheet metal. I hih hoy recommend this excellent quality blade!

I used to cut aluminum square bar stock. Worked very well. Fast, burr free, very clean cuts.

Milwaukee 8 in. x 60 Carbide Teeth Metal Cutting Circular Saw Blade is designed to cut non-ferrous metals (aluminum, brass, copper, etc.), plastic, fiberglass and thin metal up to 3/32-inch. It has cobalt infused tungsten carbide tipped teeth that runs cooler. It is substantially for softer materials without high iron (ferrite) content. Other more common blades are for ferrous metals. This blade has more teeth than the ferrous metal cutting blades and gives a cleaner cut in softer materials. With ferrous blades, feeding the material too fast can jam it and damage a tooth or send plenty of metal shavings flying. With plastic and fiberglass material this isn’t the same problem, the more teeth will result in a cleaner cut. It states on the package it is clog free, and has thin slots you can see in the photo’s to dampen vibration. I tried this blade out and had no problem, still very new. Milwaukee makes good saw blades so this should last when used with care and avoid the harder materials.

The Milwaukee Brand, 7 in. x 54 Carbide Teeth Metal Cutting Circular Saw Blade is designed for cutting soft metals and plastics. My interest in trying this blade on my metal cutting circular saw was to cut aluminum as aluminum is a very difficult metal to machine cleanly. If ever having used a file on aluminum, the file teeth will load and plug almost immediately. Plastics I have cut successfully with a standard circular saw and a fine-tooth carbide wood cutting blade. And Pipe I use for plumbing, I prefer to cut with a pipe or tubing cutter to avoid getting chips inside the pipe. Milwaukee’s 2-3/8 in. Ratcheting Pipe Cutter, Cuts PVC, CPVC, PEX, Rubber Hose, ABS cleanly and squarely with amazing ease and speed. However, be sure to check the rotational speed of any circular saw before installing this metal cutting blade on it as the blade has a maximum safe speed rating of 4,500 RPM. Most circular saws not designed for cutting metal have speeds well in excess of 5,000 RPM. I do not have any aluminum projects going at this time, yet I did try the blade on some aluminum I had in the workshop and it cut or rather machined, the aluminum as clean as a whistle. Perhaps not as polished as steel cutting saw blades achieve, yet beautifully clean and finished non the less. The 7-inch blade produced cuts though aluminum as deep as 2-inches on my metal cutting circular saw. However, other saws may cut deeper with this blade as my saw accepts blades larger than 7-inches. The package the blade comes in is designed, if carefully opened from the back to be used for storing the saw blade when not using it on the saw. I thought that packaging usefulness on Milwaukee’s part is just one example of the refinement that goes into all the tools and products Milwaukee make.
