RYOBI Straight Router Bit Set (5-Piece)

I wanted a good set of bits for my router and they worked great. They were the right price two.

I’ve only used these once so far and the quality looks good. Not too crazy about the package they came in so I’ll probably add them to my old existing set.

For first time users

Good value pricing. Good for shaving rounded edges into the sides of boards as well.

Ryobi Router is best suited for smaller bits. I like the router bits but if the router has limitations for ideal use then I would like to see a bit set that resembles and reflects the total package best use. Meaning appropriate bits or variations to use within the limits of the router.

Solid quality! Runs right through wood with smooth finish and not much need for sanding afterwards.

Was cutting 1/4” slot in poplar using my router table got through four slots and the bit broke inside the chuck. Wasn’t heavy demand work. So if you are looking for inexpensive bits for small projects these may work.

I needed this set to make dadoes in a cabinet I’m making for my cordless tools, batteries and chargers. Next up face frame and doors.

The bits worked great for their intended purpose .

This was the first time I’ve ever used a router, and I only used one bit. I routed out space for a clock movement within a wooden clock face. It was easy, and worked like a charm. Now I want to go route some more things, I just don’t know what yet.

I like the way Ryobi compliments their tools with accessories, such as the 5 Pc. Router Bit Set. It’s a quality product, and I’m glad to see the different sizes. Ryobi is quickly becoming a standard in the industry, and I’d be happy to tell my friends about their products, and encourage them to buy them.

Great tools

I purchased this set mainly for the 5/16″ bit which appears to be an uncommon size. I needed it to install a hidden guide on a pocket door.The groove went the full 1″ depth of the bit. I did it in multiple passes to avoid overstressing the bit and that resulted in smooth edges and no noticeable chip out. I’m very pleased with the quality of these bits, especially considering that for a 5/16″ bit alone would have cost me nearly as much as this kit.I can’t speak to the longevity of these, but if you’re a hobbyist or only need them sparingly, they are great!
