DEWALT 20-Volt MAX Cordless 5-1/2 in. Metal Cutting Circular Saw with (2) 20-Volt Batteries 5.0Ah

Purchased this saw a few months ago and the power that it produces is unbelievable. First used it to complete a job trimming 40 doors and the way the saw cut right through the wood left me speechless. Never expected to receive this much power and stability from a cordless saw. Dewalt really outdid themselves with this product.

The metal cutting saw cuts amazingly well. A major time saver when running conduit, or building strut racks.

I used this to cut 0.300 plate steel. Cut 2 foot wide pieces with only about 1 minute per cut. Perfect edge. I only had the 3.0 ahr battery so it would only make 2 cuts but battery. Still a lot faster and less expensive than other methods. This saw goes way beyond my expectations.

I was on the fence for a while, but I am glad I purchased this saw. It is very convenient, saves time, and makes clean cuts that dont distort the metal. I use it mainly on 1/4” plate and angle iron, and i find that I use it more often than my cutoff saw. The battery life is fine for what I use it for. I end up pulling the battery for my angle grinder anyway since that is the juice hog. Only complaint is that there is no adjustment for bevel cuts

Boughtsaw with some reservations but turned out to be great for small projects battery fullcharged will make about 10 cuts

I own the sander, the drills and the cordless saw, grinder And speaker. Will say I’ll never use anything besides dewalt

I have 3 of these saws I don’t even carry a corded saw anymore light and versital and accurate the dewalt system is my go to when needing reliable power tools.

I bought this saw along with a new impact driver and drill, and I could’ve happier, cordless tools have come along way, the power of this saw is comparable to a corded saw and the freedom from the cord is worth every penny. I have convinced other contractor friends of mine to purchase one for themselves.

It works as well as all of my Dewalt tools.

The saw is outstanding I added a dust catcher for cleaner operation it replaced my corded saw and is a big improvement over corded saw Lots of power

My father loved it and said the saw had plenty of power.

Great saw for metal work . Would like to see optional wood cutting blades.

I received the saw kit not long ago, and have done a fair amount of cutting with it. The saw has plenty of power,extra batteries, charger, and a nice case are certainly a plus. The build quality is typical DeWalt, pretty solid except for one thing. In the advertised features it claims that the shoe to guard the blade is metal. It is NOT, at least on mine anyway. It a a poly like material that has a sheet metal type of edge on it. Most people know that saws of this type regardless of metal or wood will get set down on the shoe about 90% of the time. I personally have returned saws that are like this and went with another brand. If there is a good reason it needs to be a plastic, I’m OK with that, but do NOT say it is one thing when it is really something else. I have contacted DeWalt about the issue, but have not heard back from them. I did ask a question on this site about this, and the response from some so called DeWalt “expert” said it WAS metal. So to this “expert” I suggest they take a stroll out into the warehouse and open a few boxes of this model, see what they find out. In my contact with DeWalt I suggested they take the description of the “metal shoe” OUT of the advertising, since it is simply not true. Other than that it’s nice. Was tempted to return it, but will keep it until I find something better.

Good tool. What I was looking for to cutt metal

I have performed so many tasks with this saw. Everything from ripping down full sheets of 3/4″ mdf to making many cuts on treated 2×12 material. I built an entire 10 x 20 deck with this saw and one battery. I have cut 4×4’s with it ( cut one side then other). I have a friend who previously built houses and he used it the other day and was impressed with the power and functionality.

Needed something to cut thin plate (1/8) and long cuts. Cuts it smooth, precise and with ease.

This is for metal cutting I do have and use this tool every day works great I do recommend getting the 5ah batteries I have also used for cutting wood

this saw is great for home projects. The battery lasts a long time and I would recommend this to anyone.
