I let material get into the armature so I ruined the first drill. has great torch setting light enough to not make my arms ache holding it out at arms length. I home improvement guy, but I think this drill can hold up to professional use, see the batteries and charger and the just buy a replacement drill for around $119.

I am an DIYer and occasionally need a drill driver around the house. I have another drill driver but but I am finding this one to be much better than the other one. This drill driver runs on a 20 volt rechargeable battery that can be interchanged with some of the other Dewalt cordless tools which is a nice benefit. The first thing I thought about this drill driver is that it is compact in size and fairly light weight which I consider a positive feature. The compact size will allow you to use this drill in tighter spaces and the light weight allows you to use it longer without fatigue. The drill driver has a two speed transmission which according to the documentation allows you to use the drill at 0-600 RPM’s and 0-2000 RPM’s. It also has a clutch that allows you to apply different levels (1-15 and drill setting) of torque depending on what you’re using it for. The drill driver seems to have a lot of power especially when you’re using it on the 0-2000 RPM setting. As with any drill driver, this one can be used in forward or reverse. This seems to have considerably more power than my old drill driver and I was very impressed with this. This drill also has a small LED light to help light your work area which is also a nice feature. I have not used the drill enough yet to know how long the battery holds up so I can’t comment on that. I am very impressed with this drill driver and would definitely recommend it.
