Milwaukee Selfeed drill bits deliver speed and endurance for repetitive drilling of large holes. Designed for any trade that demands woodcutting for installing pipe and conduit, Selfeed bits feed into work without pressure and provide faster boring of clean, accurate holes. The bits have improved balance with reduced runout, while the hex shank provides a secure gripping surface for the drill chuck. Every Milwaukee Selfeed drill bit is coated with a rust inhibitor. Built to last and designed to perform, these Selfeed bits are re-sharpen able so you can keep them cutting like new. 2 feed screws are included.
- Minimum chuck size of 1/2 in.

This was a replacement for a very, very old Milwaukee bit and we got it based on the quality of the prior one and the length of time (many years) it performed. This one seems to be of equal quality. It is very sharp and will be easy to sharpen when needed. It produced clean cuts right out of the package. The bit comes with allen wrench for installing the feed screw. I hope this one works as well and as long as the old bit.

Used this on several projects and it was great. My wife wanted me to bore holes in an oak limb that was partially green. Worked great on that and like a dream on processed wood. Excellent tool

As a plumber I’ve used practically every drill bit and hole cutter made. The 2-9/16” is used for 2” pipe and I use it a lot. Versions of this drill have existed for what seems like 100 years. That’s an exaggeration but it has been the tool to use forever. The problem is that construction methods have changed and I do quite a bit of remodeling. The bit drilled thru 2x lumber almost without effort. Holes were cleanly cut with minimal blowout on the back. I gave this an average rating not because it is poorly made or lacks functionality. The problem is that when I have to drill thru nail embedded lumber it destroys the bit. As much ch as I hated to run a new bit, I drilled thru a 16D galvanized nail. Just 1 nail rounded over the edge of the cutting points and chipped the main cutting surface. I really hoped for an innovation. Now. Just have a new bit that can’t even handle what I bought it for.

It made short work of boring through studs, beams and even an oak beam that was over 100 years old.

This bit cuts a nice, clean hole, but the first bit I received had a tendency to bind. The instructions read “To reduce the risk of injury, the bit teeth must be 1/64” to 1/32” higher than the chip lifter. Otherwise the bit may bind and cause serious personal injury.” I tried the bit right out of the box and it bound. I took at apart and placed it on a flat, level surface. There was 0 difference between the bit teeth and the chip lifter. After a few minutes of filing on the chip lifter, 1 was able to lower it to 0.1 mm, but still had a problem with binding. I called Milwaukee customer service, who said the bit was defective and sent a replacement. The second bit powered through the pine with very little binding. It was a little frustrating not getting a good bit initially, but I was very impressed with the second bit.
