I was going to buy a corded planner because I don’t use this type of tool often and couldn’t justify the added expense but after purchasing the tool only model and using existing batteries, I am extactic over the difference. A feature that is not explained in details is the quick stop of the blades and that it in fact does come with the edge guide.I couldn’t be more please with this puchase and paying more for a great quality tool. There will be no remorse in spending the bucks and having a long lasting and fun to use tool.

3ah battery only gets a fair rating. Does not last long enough.

Worked as well as expected, I wish it came with a dust bag tho as to not get clippings all over the place when using it.

This is a great tool, easy to control and it has plenty of power. I used it to correct warpage in a 2×10 rough-in door frame. I removed up to a quarter inch from vertical portions of the face of the 2×10 in multiple passes. It throws shavings all over the place, so I’d advise hooking up a vacuum to the discharge tube. It has a little spring loaded foot that automatically drops down to hold the rear of the tool above the surface to protect the blade when you set it down. The depth control is very positive and marked in increments of 1/256 of an inch. I’m not sure how you could flatten the face of an installed 2×10 with any other tool.

great planer, light weight, good depth increments so you don’t take off too much at a time, no cord to dance around, I like the dual exhaust port, the little kickstand is nice, no complaints with this tool

It is a little heavy with this big battery, but it is a excellent tool.

The planer is well made, powerful and fast. The micro depth adjustment is easier to use than my last planer. The exhaust direction switch is a nice touch too.

I got this m18 planer to skim cut the doors in my house for easier opening and closing. This powerful planer made quick work of the doors, as expected. Adjustments are very fine, and easily made by the knob. Guard is easy to adjust. Vacuum suction port is directional/selectable to whichever side you want. Highly recommended to contractors or advanced home owners for quick adjustments on woodworking and fitting. Beats hours with a sanding block/paper. Time is money.

Powerful. Not that lousy. A bit heavy. Very accurate. I am very happy with it. Use it for new interior doors installation

Haven’t used the plane yet but Milwaukee is the best Mfg. of tools going. Have used Milwaukee electric tools for 55 years in the trade now switching to battery but can’t part with the old, yet!!!

This planer works wonderfully…I especially like being able to change the direction of the dust collection shoot…being left handed myself this is a very cool feature….

Awesome planer, very powerful and solid. My only complaint is that it does not include a bag to capture the wood shavings. They basically spray 3-5 feet out the side.

Cordless planer does the job great. I’m always working on home remodels and great to have this cordless. Used for for different applications from planing out boards to different wood projects and the battery life is great. Has good power and worked good for anything I’ve needed it for.
