The speaker might be expensive, but I got it with the buy two batteries/get free tool deal. And it is awesome! I work in a garage and it gets LOUD. And the harmonic distortion is on point. I’ve discovered the perfect volume to play my music so I can hear it well and it doesn’t affect others. Last a while on a 4.0 battery and also has an ac cord to plug it in the wall 24/7. Running a charger from it does drain the battery though. But still doesn’t change my mind on it being the best Bluetooth speaker out there.

Question does it charge your batteries while being connected to the ac outlet like the bigger m18 speaker?

AC powered is a little deceptive. Unlike other Milwaukee tools that plug directly into an extension cord, this one requires using an external AC to 18v DC power adapter. So now i have to pack one more item. Why didn’t Milwaukee build this inside? It’s not like this speaker is small. Worst case, why didn’t they make a storage compartment to store the adapter? I just hate lose items. I guess that’s my Navy training.

It may just be a big Bluetooth speaker but it’s probably the best one I’ve ever owned. The Bluetooth range is great, I haven’t actually measured it but it claims 100 feet and I think that is very close to accurate. The sound quality is great, passive radiators provide plenty of bass and the highs are crisp. One of the few negatives I can see anyone pointing out is for the price it should have a radio tuner. I downloaded iHeart radio on my phone so that’s not a problem. Aux input and USB chargeing ports in the back keep the phone charged all day while streaming music and gives additional hook up options. Some might complain that it doesn’t charge batteries when plugged in, I’m ok with that, I bought a speaker not a charger. Over all, while the price may seem a little high, but it does what it was designed to do and very good at it.

so I wanted a killer speaker for the jobsitehome. got this in 2019. literally 1st week I owned it, a coworker knocked it off of the deck we were building and into an actual 2 foot deep stream where it bounced off a rock then splashed in from 6 ft up. Coworker made that “oh no!” face and put his hands on his head. No worries! Grabbed it from where it stopped moving, dried off battery, popped it in, turned it on, connected to bluetooth- no problem. on a M12 4ah batt it runs quite loudly for over 2 days straight

Owned it for 3 weeks and placement of this speaker system is key. If you place it in corners, boxes, or tighter spots, the system performed well but was not as loud as the other milwaukee radio counterpart 2792 My buddy has the 2792 and I heard his music over mine every single time. Returning this to try the packout radio to overpower his radio hopefully. By the way, passive radiators without an active driver is not truly a speaker Milwaukee.

Works as described. I was looking at another Bluetooth speaker but decided to go with this to compliment my Milwaukee tools. Sounds pretty good but wish it had a little more bass but otherwise sound clarity is pretty decent. My only complaint so far is I’m having difficulty removing the 2.0 12v battery from the speaker. My question also is when plugged into a/c does it charge the 12 or 18v battery that’s plugged into it?
