DEWALT 15 Amp 7-1/4 in. Lightweight Circular Saw with Electric Brake

This is a perfect saw for all your circular saw needs. It’s light weight, easy to maneuver, and does everything I expect out of a circular saw. Only gripe is it came with the contractor’s bag and not a nice hard case. Oh well.

I’ve been a fan of DeWALT products for years working in construction. It wasn’t until I purchased this Circular Saw did I really understand what I was missing out on. Absolute power in my hands, not to mention an excellent grip that feels like it forms to my own hand. It’s a very balanced and full of torque and power. I would highly recommend anyone to use this product and I’m so glad I finally went out and got one for myself to use on my home projects. An absolute gem! I also love the safety features for the break. You never know when the blade will lock up and then kick back. Good to know this feature will save lives and greatly reduce injuries!

I’m really pleased with this circular saw 🙂

I have this saw a little while now, also have a regular 575 that I call my “demo” saw. This one is for finer cuts and has 60 tooth finish blade. No resistance, cuts nice and straight and clean. Pretty low noise and brake works well. Brake is not instant like a battery saw, but stops quickly. Nice heavy cord and adjustments are solid and simple.

Good solid saw with a resonable price

The saw is cool as heck and it works great. I haven’t put much use on it yet, but I am sure that it will last me the rest of my life. I am a home owner, with rare usage. Even if I used it daily, I still would have bought the same one.

I have only used this saw for one project so far, but it worked like a charm. I used it to cut some fire bricks for my wood stove. I bought a masonry blade and it cut through them like butter. If you do this, be sure to purchase a face mask as the dust is carcinogenic. It also helps to soak the bricks in water first (to hold the dust down). I’m looking forward to using the saw on lumber in the future.

because customer support handled this quickly and to my satisfaction. They replaced the saw with a brand new one. I did not give it a 5 star due to the fact that although the alignment of the blade to the base edge on the replacement is better It is still a bit off. I tried it and it worked well through a 4′ cut in 1/2″ plywood against a rail. it did not bind in the first foot of cut as the previous one did. this is my 3rd Dewalt saw. I have had other brands also and never had issues cutting against a rail so I never checked blade alignment. I can’t say what all the others were???? All I can say is that I feel it should be better and If you buy any saw do a long test cut against a rail as soon as you get it.Thank you customer service I appreciated the quick response.

Very easy to use. For a lightweight saw, it is surprisingly strong. It made long angled cuts through some 2×10’s without a hiccup. Installing the blade was straightforward and everything came aligned correctly. The clamp to adjust the depth is a bit tight, but that’s probably a good thing. I used it for some lap joints and it did the job just fine. The 18 tooth blade that comes with it works well, but I’ve replaced it with a 24 tooth one because I need smoother cuts.
