I ordered this item to get my old heavy duty 4 tool set with the hard case that I had bought back in the days that DEWALT was making tools to perform and last for ever. Since I have many newer tools that have small batteries I actually started looking for an item like this many years ago when DEWALT still did not have this item, but the offbrand stuff were too expensive and not tested enough. I recently found this Item and ordered it online. I am happy I did, the shipping was quick and item was securely packed. Then I tried it on all 4 old tools and they all worked fine. I used a 2Ah battery which is the minimum required size and the tools had good enough power, I am certain batteries with more juice than 2Ah would work with even more power. Now installing this device with the battery on the tool is a breeze but taking it off was a bit of challenge or at least for me, I am getting better at it though , it has a trick that I still haven’t fully mastered but I will soon. I do recommend this product just make sure your tool is in the list of the tools that can work with this.
