The award winning PM2000B table saw sets a new standard for innovation with an array of patented features and massive body design. The cast iron tables are oversized and the newly designed arbor lock lever is accessible from above the table top to eliminate the need for dual arbor wrenches. The quick-release riving knife design helps reduce the chance of kickback. The blade tilt scale features an integrated digital read out as well as adjustable angle indicators for repetitive bevel cuts. The newly designed integrated retractable hydraulic caster system mobilizes your table saw much higher than the previous model to assist when moving over thresholds. A wide stance, heavy-duty box trunnion and concave teeth on the trunnion gears promote easier raising and tilting of saw blade. Poly-V drive belt system results in quieter, more efficient power transfer from the motor to the arbor with virtually no vibration and less heat build-up. Improved built-in dust collection port with convenient access to the inside of the saw cabinet for simple clean-up. The saw has a proprietary safety switch with magnetic interlock and the stop button can be knee activated.

I have had this saw for a little over six months and love the quality of the machine itself. 3 HP is plenty big enough for all my cutting needs and the table is flat and it is a quiet machine. However, regardless what I do to improve the dust collection like direct suction to industrial vacuum, or open up the blade insert, it still makes a huge mess and kicks sawdust in my face. I used a friends SawStop and he does not have this problem. I think that Powermatic needs to look at other saws and improve its suction capability. It is very disappointing to spend that much money on a saw that you hate to make a cut on without wearing a respirator or face mask. I guess with COVID everyone has plenty of those now. Does anyone have a solution besides selling the saw and buying a Sawstop?
Had the saw about 3 years. For the most part it is great professional cabinet saw, you couldn’t ask for a better or more precise cut. However, the dust collection is poor.Other issues; the riving knife sticks and does not fit well. The power assemble is being replaced for the third time. When first assembled, I had to drill new holes to mount the fence. The site on the fence was improperly placed.Thank goodness they have great customer service, but I expected more from PM.For DC Woodworker, I would think twice before investing in a Saw Stop replacement. The safety blade system can be cumbersome and expensive (wet wood trips it). Not practical for working shop (yes saws can cut people…be careful)
Quality of build is impressive and exceeds my expectations. The accu fence has a massive 3” x 3” x 1/4” front rail with a heavy rectangular tube that the fence rides on. The rear rail is 2” x 2” x 3/16” angle. The front and rear rail support the extension table with fold down legs. The legs you should only been for heavy loads on the extension table. The hydraulic lift works like a charm. The saw moves with little effort considering you are move the entire weight. Cuts are very smooth and adjustments work great. I highly recommend this saw
Real happy so far. This is my second, had a model 66 years ago. Love all the new advancements they???ve made. Definitely would recommend this saw.
